We parked at Livermore Rd. in Waterville Valley and enjoyed the beautiful road walk, birds were singing, flowers are up and the bugs were not that bad but we had spray. Took the Scaur Ridge trail which was a first and went to Pine Bend Brook then up to the summit. Ice and snow the last 3/4 of a mile to the top of the first peak, really icy. Went across to Middle then decided to go to South and descend the slide which was a good move and totally dry. Took a nasty fall on the way back to the road, nice new bruise on my face! It could have been a lot worse. 12.4 miles with 3000 ft of elevation for this route and I felt it.
