I went up and hiked the Tripyramids again to complete them for July. I would have preferred the slides on N and S Tripyramid but the trail was soaking wet from days of rain and I opted for the old familiar Pine Bend Brook route. The water crossings were slightly higher than normal but nothing difficult. I was surprised to meet about 20 other hikers on the trail, many newbies, many seasoned pros and then me, solo hiker feeling out of shape after the break from Covid in the spring. It felt great to sweat and make it up there and I finally wore my Hokas on a hike -- amazing shoes that grip even wet slimy rock! Trying to get back into the hiking frenzy and thinking about what will be next. I still love the mountains but the crowds we are seeing now are a turn off so might try my hand at redlining some of the lesser used trails.
