Beautiful snow hike with a great group of people. Went up the Pine Bend Brook trail off the Kanc and started with boots then switched to snowshoes when we were a couple of miles in. Stream crossings were easy rock hops but not frozen. Definitely changed once we started going up the steep trail, lots of fresh snow and on the top ridge there was at least 2 ft of unbroken powder. Some drifts were deeper. There was a lot of moose activity up high, fresh tracks on the trail and in the woods! Some blowdown, crawl under and around that's been there for a while.
