I had a million excuses for not hiking yesterday and barely made it out the door. Too hot, too cloudy, might rain, long drive, etc. so ended up leaving late and decided to hike Pierce thinking I'd be done early. I hit the summit but it was still not even 11 am so decided to head over to Jackson which I'd never done before from Pierce and had fun on a new to me section of trail. Lot's of bog bridges, and a different type of terrain reminding me of the bogs on Mt Success in the Mahoosucs. Made it to Jackson in short time then took my time to avoid falling on the slippery wet rocks heading down. The road walk was short so all in all nice hike, 6 hrs with almost 9 miles of hiking so fun day.
