Perfect conditions for the long trek to Owl's Head! The trail was packed, nothing but spikes needed until the uphill began. I switched to snowshoes for the televators and the extra traction but the snow was made up of tiny ice pellets and it felt like going uphill on a bed of ball bearings! Super slippery, a bit frustrating, but that's what makes hiking a challenge. We had a great day!
