We parked at the end of Little River Road, took the herd path to Little Haystack road and the trailhead for North Twin. Total mileage was 10.6 and we were out for about 7 hours. Snow bridges over the Little River were safe when we crossed but that could change quickly. Trail was packed but there were a lot of deviations, especially approaching the summit, where multiple bushwhacks led from different directions. After we found the true summit and checked out the viewpoints we had enough of face slapping branches and spruce traps and decided to head back down.
