Today was one of those days that I spent more time in the car driving on icy/snowy roads than I spent hiking. Went up the Carter-Moriah trail from Bangor St. in Gorham and saw only 2 other hikers on their way out until I was returning from the summit then met two more. I had my fastest time on this hike so conditions were good although it was snowing the entire day, more up top and the wind was blowing like crazy up high. I wore snowshoes the entire way and it felt great not to have to switch gear out. This hike is about 8.8 miles with 3600 ft of ascent elevation and usually it feels harder than it should but for some reason I finished about 45 min faster than my last time on this peak. No views today so just a few photos to document the hike which puts me at 85.6% complete on the grid. 12 peaks remaining in January, 83 to finish.
