Really humid and hot but hiked anyway and we had a great morning on the Benton trail. I really like this area and the trail is very gentle compared to most. Beautiful wildflowers, peaceful hike and even the summit wasn't that crowded! Al hadn't tried this trail and he enjoyed it, especially when we discovered you can pan for gold along Tunnel Brook and that the area is full of artifacts from and old logging town called Wildwood.
