The weather hasn't been cooperating for above treeline visits but I wanted to get a couple more peaks done this week so went up and hiked Moosilauke via the Glencliff trail. It was lightly snowing all the way up, snowshoes to go through the drifts with quite a bit of new snow on top to plow through. When I got above treeline I couldn't see a thing, I mean visibility was really poor. One couple in front of me turned around because of the whiteout conditions. It was hard to make out the cairns but I kept going, checking the map a couple of times and before I knew it I was staring at the summit sign. Getting back was just as difficult but I used the breadcrumbs on my watch and that made the return easy. Nothing to look at today but a memorable hike!
