Hiked the Crockers and Mount Redington to finish 3 more high peaks in Maine. South Crocker is a short 2.1 mile hike up from Caribou Pond Rd but its very rugged, uneven boulders, steep sections that reminded me of the Hancocks. First we went down and up to North Crocker, one mile out and one mile back then over to Redington which has no official trail. That was probably the hardest section. It was drizzling and wet when we first started, by the time we got to the top of Redington the sun came out so we decided to go back up South Crocker instead of hiking the loop from Redington which is longer but you can avoid the last uphill and downhill on Crocker. The hike ended up being about 9.5 miles with 3900 ft of ascent so another big day but happy to be done with these! Beautiful trails!
