Winter conditions for this gorgeous hike up Mt Liberty, over to Flume and back. This one is 10 miles with almost 4500 ft of ascent elevation. Took us almost an hour longer than the last time we hiked these peaks, probably because we had to break trail part of the way. Wet leaves down low, ice and snow up high including 10 to 12 inches between the two peaks. MIcrospikes were adequate and the trail is broken out now. Really need more snow to cover the rocks before the snowshoes make sense.
