Great hiking conditions and company for this visit to Isolation! The recent rain left a solid crust on top of the snow but we still used snowshoes and kept them on for the duration. The bushwhack was perfect and the total hike ended up being 12.75 miles compared to 14+ on the regular trail. The views were great although the sky was that iron gray color so the light was flat but it was nice to spend quality time on the summit and not freeze! Played with the Canada Jays and enjoyed a peaceful trek back.
