Hiked the infamous Ice Gulch in Randolph, NH and enjoyed the cooler temps on a hot 90 degree day. This trail is every bit as tough as I'd heard, uneven boulders, wet slimy rocks, deep crevices filled with ice and while I'm glad we did this I'm not sure I'd be eager to try it again. The weather was not in our favor but we got lucky and it held off till we topped out of the gulch. Minutes after we got to the top we heard a loud crack of thunder and the skies opened up. The 2 plus mile hike back to the car was in a downpour and we got drenched. I have a poncho in my pack but I guess we were so hot we didn't care about getting wet on the way out. Fun experience!
