Went up and hiked the Hancocks and it was a cloudy chilly day up there but that didn't keep the leaf peepers away! Nice to be out in the forest, didn't see that many birds and only about a dozen people. The trail going up/down S Hancock is really worn out, loose scree, dirt, rocks so took my time going down but might need to switch direction next time and go counter clockwise. This hike is about 9.5 miles with about 2600 ft of ascent elevation so not too difficult but always a good one to stay in shape because of that steep half mile with 1000 ft gain near the summits.
