Visited Hale to finish for the grid and enjoyed a beautiful snow track that was nicely packed out from the day before. We carried snowshoes but didn't need to use them as the snow was very firm, wet and sticky. Even with the road walk this one is an "easy" hike, about 10 miles in winter and while a lot of hikers combine it with Zealand and the Bonds I just can't get that much done in a day, especially in winter. Was very peaceful in the woods and we saw only 3 other people all day!
