Garfield was the driest I've ever seen it the entire way up to the top! Only a small mud patch after the water crossings which were very low. The wind had shifted from the south so the wildfire smoke wasn't burning my eyes like yesterday but still very hazy and hot. Nice breeze at the summit to enjoy the views, hazy as they were. Several large groups of young kids heading up to the tent platforms when I was on my way back. Rain was really heavy on the drive home so hope they survived the night....we got over 3 inches of rain overnight.
