Cloudy but beautiful day to visit the Carters. I always forget how long this is as an out and back, 14.1 miles with almost 4800 ft of ascent elevation. I made pretty good time and felt strong so as long as my knees hold up I'll be good to go for some longer hikes soon. Really cool low clouds in Pinkham Notch and I was fortunate it cleared when i was on Middle Carter for a quick peek of the presidentials. Carter Dome had a nice view too, all in all great day!
