Beautiful day for the Carters! I only needed South and Middle this month so we went out and back from 19 Mile Brook trail to the Carter Dome trail then over and back from Zeta Pass. This hike is 11.6 miles with about 3600 ft. of ascent elevation. The trail was nicely packed up to Zeta Pass then I used snowshoes on the Carter Moriah trail. Felt like a super highway on the way out! The streams were easy to cross but the melting ice will make things trickier again this week. Also saw about 6 red crossbills up on the ridge!
