It's amazing how much color is still lingering in the White Mountains! We hiked the Carters, Carter Dome and Mt. Hight and had spectacular views in all directions! Parked cars and started at South Imp, really mellow trail. Went across the Carter-Moriah trail over Middle and South Carter then to Zeta Pass and up the Carter Dome trail with the diversion to Mt. Hight. Really blustery on Mt. Hight. Not that crowded but still ran into a dozen or so hikers and backpackers. I hadn't been on Mt Hight for a while so wow, just wow....the views from that peak are amazing!
