Beautiful November hike up Carter Dome with great company! Conditions were mixed, bare ground and lot's of water below Zeta Pass and slushy snow above. Water crossings weren't too terrible, snow on top a bit tedious and I should have listened to the expert and brought the snowshoes instead of leaving them in the car -- just the last half mile approaching the summit was very soft so lot's of postholes. On the way out we had a chance encounter with my niece and her two dogs...love when that stuff happens!
