This hike is 14 miles in the winter including 2 miles of easy road walking on a snowmobile trail followed by a couple of easy miles then the fun begins. Snowshoes in deep snow made this one rather exhausting. The Section leading up to the ridge felt like it would never end but the view makes it all worth while. Probably my favorite view in the White Mountains and the weather was spectacular. The final walk on Signal Ridge takes my breathe away...Carrigain Notch then Crawford Notch then the magestic Mount Washington. The entire Pemigewasset Wilderness could be viewed today. We saw moose tracks, crossed a brook in snowshoes, and made acquaintance with some nice hikers.
