Finished the December grid on Carrigain today and just made it before the road closed!! I had a note from Fish and Game on my car when I returned to the parking lot saying the road was closing this evening. So many times on this one, somehow my watch said this was my fastest time which surprised me because the conditions were a little bit of ice, not enough to put spikes on for the ascent but enough to worry about twisting an ankle. Water was a little high, I had to step in a few inches to get across but my new winter boots were great. So glad to be done December but that doesn't mean I'll stop......winter hiking is always the best when there is a lot of snow and we have a storm coming tomorrow!
