The drive to Cabot was brutal today....always a long one but we had snow flurries in the morning and heavy holiday traffic on the way back so spent more than 7 hours driving for a 6 hour hike! First time I've visited Cabot since the road is closed for logging so the hike ended up being about 12 miles with almost 3200 ft of ascent elevation. The trail was beautiful! Snowshoes all the way and everyone who's been out there appears to be doing the same so very pleasant. Tons of snow up there and grateful to get this one done before we get another storm.
