Another epic hike to the Bonds and Zealand! Started at Lincoln Woods and finished at the parking lot on 302 -- 23.4 miles with 5018 ft of elevation. The Lincoln side had hardly any snow so bare booted until we passed the water crossings and put snowshoes on for the climb up Bondcliff till the end. We saw 2 hikers coming down Bondcliff and one hiker doing an out and back from Lincoln Woods but the rest of the day we didn't run into a single person (except the kind caretaker at Zealand Hut who greeted us with homemade pumpkin cake and hot water). About 8 inches of fresh snow with plenty of drifts to plow through over West Bond and Guyot, Zealand was the same with even more snow! We ran into increasing winds as we headed over Guyot so were glad to be back in the trees on Zealand. Just an incredible day!
Saw your trip report on NETC with a link to your website. Your pictures are amazing. I've only done this trip in full summer so I'm so jealous that you did it in winter; which I want to do one day. Loved the classic Bondcliff shot. Thanks for sharing!
