Headed up to northwest Maine to work on the 4000 footers for the New England 67 list. The Bigelows were beautiful! Loved the view of Flagstaff lake from the summits. Amazing to learn that the 27 mile long lake is made by man when two towns were flooded. Lots of history in this area! My GPS was going haywire during the beginning of the hike and for some reason it kept telling me we were losing elevation even though we had climbed like 3000 ft. The hike was about 10.5 miles and it was not that difficult....the trail was really nice!
