Gorgeous day for hiking Mt. Adams (5793 ft. ) to finish #31 on the winter list. We went up the Valley Way trail to the Madison Spring Hut then up to the summit of Adams which is the second tallest peak in the Northeast. The hike is 9.4 miles with 4500 ft. of ascent elevation and we finished in 6 hrs 30 min. Many breaks to change layers and equipment including crampons from the hut up to the summit. This was only my second time summiting this peak and I forgot how incredible the views are! We saw only two hikers up high the entire day.
