Bryce Amphitheater

Bryce Canyon National Park, UT

A wide angle lens reveals the Bryce in not truly a canyon, but a bowl-shaped amphitheater.
This view high atop Bryce Point is popular with park visitors, but most see it in mid-day, as in this image.
With east facing formations, the most beautiful light is at sunrise, where the light and shadows play magic on the hoodoos.
