Allen's Hummingbird

San Francisco, CA

These colorful Allen's Hummingbirds are quite skiddish and were buzzing large U-shaped arcs in the air.

I had to be careful since the area was covered with poison oak.

Vote vote vote! Beautiful colors against the dark green background. Does this mean the hummers are starting their way north again or do they frequent your area year round?
