At Meridiani on Mars the Opportunity rover photographed this very small object erect and above the soil particles on sol 056. The elevated small extension appears nearly identical to a light sensing 'eye' type appendage seen in some Earth worms. Original in grayscale, altered slightly and enlarged from the original size.
