Si l’on consulte une carte de la Bretagne on remarque immédiatement ses trois « têtes» qui à l’Ouest font face à l’Océan Atlantique. La pointe du milieu dessine une sorte de croix. C’est la presqu’île de Crozon, du breton « Kraozon ».

Voici comment « Win Waloé », un chef Gallois qui migra des Iles Britanniques avec sa tribu au VIème siècle décrit son arrivée à Crozon :
« On apercevait une magnifique forêt, et, creusée en son milieu un vallon tourné vers le soleil levant. Entre eux il y avait, sur une largeur de presque deux milles, la grande mer où venait se jeter le fleuve appelé l’Aulne. Du fond de la vallée, chaque jour, à peine le soleil levé, une brume s’élevait comme une fumée et, à ceux qui chaque jour le regardaient, l’endroit semblait le plus heureux qui fût. Mes hommes n’aspiraient qu’à une chose : être conduits en ce lieu.... »




If one looks at a map of Brittany we immediately notices its three «heads» facing in the west side the Atlantic Ocean. The « head » of the middle draws a kind of cross. It is the peninsula of Crozon, from the Breton «Kraozon».

Here is how “Win Waloe,” a Welsh chief who migrated from the British Isles with his tribe in the 6th century, describes his arrival in Crozon:
"One could see a magnificent forest, and, dug in the middle of it a valley facing the rising sun. Between them there was, almost two miles wide, the great sea into which the river called the Aulne came. From the bottom of the valley, every day, as soon as the sun had risen, a mist rose like a smoke, and to those who looked at it every day, the place seemed the happiest. My men longed for only one thing : to be led to this place....”
