Since the opening of Angkor to tourists at the very beginning of the 20th century, they had the choice between the «Petit Circuit» and the «Grand Circuit». The first included the visit of all the sites near Angkor Vat and lasted 3 days. The second lasted five days and made it possible to reach the more distant temples like Banteay Srei or Banteay Samré.
The travel agencies of the late 20th century have invented a new concept: I call it the «lightning journey» because it lasts barely a day!

one of the most interesting sites, and not so busy either...best tour option is to stay independent...in 2002 a car and driver cost $20/day, and providing flexibility and our own agenda...10 days were enough to tour extensively at Angkor and surrounding countryside..

Beautiful view with this perspective and lighting. I think it would be impossible to see all of this in a day, especially if you're taking photographs. "V"
