Après dîner, dans la froide nuit d’hiver je fis cette étrange rencontre, vaguement inquiétante, qui me fit penser qu’une fois encore j’avais fait un bond dans le temps et étais arrivé dans quelque ville médiévale en proie à la peste ou à l’Inquisition. Je me hâtais de regagner la chaleur de l’hôtel et, bien qu’il fut tard, je m’entretins longuement avec le concierge.
Nous parlâmes de choses et d’autres puis je lui demandais s’il connaissait une femme nommée Natasha.
Laquelle ? Il y a deux Natacha bien connues à La Soglia Dei Sogni :
Natacha avec un C et Natasha avec un S.
....... ?
Elles se ressemblent comme deux jumelles. Elles apparaissent pendant le Carnaval, mais nul ne sait rien sur elles. Certains ont tenté de les suivre pour découvrir où elles logeaient mais elles sont toujours parvenus à semer leurs poursuivants et à disparaître dans les venelles...

J’allais me coucher la tête pleine d’interrogations...
