Perched on an aerie this fort was built in 1459 by the king Rao Jodha. It is one of the largest and the most beautiful of Rajasthan.

This brings back such memories for me. I was in Jodhpur when Indira Ghandi was assassinated in 1984. You can only imagine how that was for the people and for a traveler caught in the turmoil.
