This was a very long day and we covered a lot of ground.
Jerusalem, 5:42 am: On our way to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre At the Church of the Holy Sepulchre before 6 a.m. for Mass.  Luis, Craig, and others at the Stone of Anointing. Stone of Anointing, on which Jesus' body was prepared for burial. Calvary, where Jesus was crucified. Under the altar is a place where the Rock of Calvary can be touched. Luis here.
On both sides of the altar one can see the Rock of Calvary (Station 12) Orthodox altar at Calvery.  The altar that the Roman Catholics use for Mass is to the right, just behind the man in black.  Roman Catholic (Franciscan) altar, where Jesus was nailed to the cross.  This is where we had Mass at 6:a.m. Multicultural line to Orthodox altar.

Gold Dome of the Rock, a mosque, is where the Temple stood.  Lead-colored domes (R) are the Church of the Holy Sepulcher Ancient (from 300 BC) Jewish Cemetery More people watching people. The Basilica of the Agony, located on the Mount of Olives, next to the Garden of Gethsemane.

Going down into Mary's Tomb in the Kidron Valley at the foot of the Mount of Olives. Inside The Western (Wailing) Wall.  Traditionally it is all that was left of the Jewish Temple when it was destroyed in 70 AD. IMG_9037.JPG At the Western Wall- women's side.

Marking the place where Peter denied Christ three times before the cock crowed. Gallicantu= cock's crow. The church, on the slopes of Mount Zion, marks the place of Caiaphas's Palace, where Peter denied knowing Christ (Mark 14:66-74) Inscription at bottom of the door: The cock will not crow today until you will deny three times that you know me. This was also the place where Jesus was held by Caiaphas in a pit on the night before he died. It still exists under the church.
The Pit.  It is also believed that this is where Peter and John were held (Acts 5:17-23).  Dennis read Psalm 88 to us. St Peter in Gallicantu from another angle.
