What is a Timer? Your Kids

In the days I taught elementary school, I discovered how beneficial the use of a timer for classroom use. It wasn't too long after I became a mom that I saw how beneficial the timer can be in the classroom. It was a visual one which a kindergarten teacher employed for her students. It took me a long time to find the exact one but, thanks to Amazon I was able to get my hands on it about 6 months ago, and it's really saved my sanity.

One was also sent to my sister to be given to her three-year-old son. It is a great product that they love the same way as we do. I wanted to promote this product since I believe every caregiver and parent of toddlers could benefit.

Any timer will help in the home and classroom in many ways, but I enjoy this timer online for little kids since it lets them know how much time remains as they do not have any idea of what time is actually. It displays more red when there is too much time remaining. If there is just an insignificant amount of time left, it shows less red. Genius!

Once it has been sounded it will cease and will automatically stop. You can also disable the sound if you want to. This timer comes with "feet" that allow you to set it upright on any flat surface. We can move it around the house, depending on what we require. It is also possible to hang it in the walls. It only requires one AA battery and seems to last for a long time. It's so easy to use that I let my 3-year-old daughter play with it. Read for more info: https://timer.live/

These are only one of the ways this timer makes life easier.

Nap time

My daughter, who is three, is fighting to sleep. But if I tell them to set the timer for 45 mins and that she should stay in bed until it goes off she will be ok. She knows it's temporary and that it will come to an end. (I ensure that I switch off the buzzer and she usually falls asleep before the timer has finished set.) She gets 45 minutes of rest if she doesn't go to sleep.

Play time

My sole daughter, Pooky would like me to spend as much time with her as I can. Although I enjoy spending time with Pooky but I have to do other things too. It has helped me realize that Pooky accepts that the timer has ended after we have played for 15 minutes.

Rest time:

Mommy and daughter often require rest, so we set an alarm and have quiet time until it is set to go off.

Be sure to clean after each use.

My daughter spends a lot of time picking up her toys , without a timer. The timer lets my daughter concentrate better on her job and makes it an effort to beat the clock. If I think she's not going to finish on time, I might include timer online time or help her finish before the timer goes off.

TV/Device time:

Pooky Like most kids likes playing with games and videos. To ensure that she doesn't take up long hours in this it is set to a timer. She stops arguing when the video is finished. (I try to time it to be exactly the similar length to one of the kid's video (about 25 minutes).

Time off for work

If I'm in the middle of deadlines, but my daughter is constantly begging me to play I set the timer to about 30 minutes and inform my daughter she has to play on her own and then let me do my work until the timer is off. It is effective! I have uninterrupted time and, since I know the clock is ticking I remain focused on my work.

Potty time

As we were starting to potty train my daughter experienced an urge to go off the toilet as soon as I put her on it. To remind her to remain on the toilet at least for a few minutes, I used the timer.

Time to bed:

This is another time of our lives which caused us to have a lot of problems. With this timer, we can now enjoy a peaceful night. Once it's getting close to the time when we begin our bedtime routine The timer will be set for around 15 minutes. Then, she can listen to whatever music she wants until the time is up. Even though she might be a bit upset about going to bed, she does not have to fight the buzzer. The red disk disappearing on the clock face helps her prepare for the next thing that's to come.

Time to have fun:

If my daughter is aware we're headed to an exciting place and asks every time when it's the right time to leave and I haven't decided I set the alarm so she can see the remaining time before we will leave the home. This is only for an hour before we leave however it provides us with peace. She'll be entertained, and stop pestering me about the time, and simply checks periodically the development of the clock.
