The images in this gallery were captured in 1995 shortly after the horrific act of terrorism in Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. It is hard to imagine the degree of destruction of property and life that resulted from this heartless act. The images here were captured by myself in the area within approximately 1 to 4 Blocks of the Murrah Building. The bombing site itself was, of course, fenced off and inaccessible within about 1 block. The surrounding area looked like a war zone -- even several block away where offices had windows blown out and roofs collapsed. I am not one who believes any of the rampant theories of government coverup or involvement by agencies such as the FBI or ATF -- other than their heroic efforts to uncover the truth and bring to justice those responsible. Having read much of the Grand Jury summary findings regarding these events, I feel that the FBI and ATF deserve our thanks for the speed at which they gathered facts and brought about the apprehension of Timothy McVie and those who plotted this senseless act with him. All of the theories floating about are greatly baseless and serve only to create fear and distrust of our government -- exactly the mania that resulted in the destruction you get a glimpse of in these images. My prayers go out to the victims (living and deceased), and their families. God Bless America!
