These are images from our camp out at South Llano River State Park on Memorial Weekend, 2012. The park was devoid of normally visible wild turkeys, as they were in 'Nesting Season'. However, the park was teeming, as usual, with all manner of wildlife -- especially the great variety of birds that inhabit the park. For those interested in birding, this is the state park to visit -- bring a good pair of binoculars and hopefully a good camera with telephoto lens.

One of the highlights of my visit was capturing a decent photo of a 'Black-capped Vireo' -- indeed a rare and endangered little bird.

I hope you enjoy these images, as much as I enjoyed capturing them. God's creation is absolutely stunning in it's variety and beauty!
