We’ve had a particularly aggressive mocking ruling the roost this year. He was chasing what I assumed was a Cooper’s Hawk. I couldn’t believe my eyes when the hawk executed a complete Slow Roll, talons up, right above me. He missed the mockingbird and they continued east.
I now think it was actually a Mississippi Kite.
I’m five miles east of Bellville, TX.

I have a nesting pair here in bryan texas . also have one white fuzzy chick !!

We have a couple hanging around Bellville, TX. Got some good pics today of one of them. They are beautiful birds.

We have a new couple that made a Roost in Bryan Texas. They are beautiful and will even stand up to the mocking birds.

This looks like the bird that has taken up a spot on a dead tree along with another
,the other one is not as pretty as this one .This is in Mineral Wells Tex.

First we have seen them near Princeton, Texas. The end of cotton farming in our area probably allowed there return.

WE HAVE A NESTING PAIR IN OUR NEIBORHOOD, HURST TEXAS . I HAVE NOT SEEN THIS BIRD BEFORE .
