Wish I was young so I could get into all these low positions to shoot, I wouldn't be able to get back up! :-) It does make for better shots as you have better control of the background and see things from another perspective!

Greg,
I think your guest was meaning you were showing off. By the way, you have some good images in your other portfolios

Careful Greg, the gators might grab your leg down in the spillway gully. :)

Yes I am American and I think I sense some sour grapes from our anonymous friend here :) Also, yes I do show up. If I didn’t show up how could I get any photos? ;)

You have the wrong idea...I think Greg just tripped and this shot was taken as he hit the ground?!!? And like any good photographer, he chose to extend the arm and protect the lens and sacrifice the left eye...heck, most of us have 2 good eyes...but who has 2 lenses like this?

A right angle view finder might be in order here. Ya think??? :)

i am looking to get a lens for birds and i was wondering how much money did you get the 500mm f/4.5 for?
Greg Lavaty15-Aug-2006 20:08
It is the EF 500mm f/4.5L USM on a Rebel XT body.
Guest 15-Aug-2006 19:56

Wow. That is quite a reach! It's great to see the work that goes in to taking a photo. Would love to see the work that resulted from this shoot.
