Of all the fantastic hummingbirds that can be found in southeastern Arizona I think the Broad-billed Hummingbird is my favorite to photograph. It’s also nice that it is one of the most common species in the area so there are many opportunities to see them. To me all those colors scream “tropical” to me. This one was dominating one of the feeders at the Santa Rita Lodge earlier this month.
