While out exploring the back roads of Colorado County earlier this month I heard this Northern Bobwhite. I waited, listened and watched for a while and eventually spotted him poking his head out of the tall grass to make his familiar call. This ended up being the best look I would get of him but I thought it was a cute one and quite typical in my experience.
