I found this Least Bittern slowly climbing through the reeds at the edge of Olney Pond at Brazoria NWR yesterday morning. They cam move so slowly it’s pretty amazing. Most of the time the bird was buried too deep in the vegetation to get a photo but eventually he crossed an opening big enough to get most of the bird in view.
