It was a pretty good day on the Texas coast yesterday with tons of colorful birds moving through. Of course, that would be exactly the time my camera would completely crater and to make matters worse my backup was sitting on the shelf at home. It was painful to head home with so many beautiful birds around but at least my consolation prize was that this was the last photo my camera took before it went belly up. Unfortunately, it sounds like I might not be able to get the broken camera serviced until after the stay at home orders are lifted and the service center re-opens. I guess I will have to make do with “old tech” for a while but somehow, I think I will be able to make do as long as beautiful subjects like this Painted Bunting are still around.
