This is one of many Zenaida Doves that we encountered during our visit to Cuba last month. I think it’s actually a beautiful bird but somehow, we never seemed to have the time to work on getting a good photo of one. This one, luckily, turned up when we were taking a break from looking for other birds so I was able to click off a few photos. Looking back at it, I wish I had taken more time to work on photographing this species. I kept putting it off because they were common and I thought I would have more time later. The problem is that if you don’t actually make the time for things, they never happen.
