This spring has been quite a good year for seeing Blue-winged Warblers and it has been a fun challenge to get photos of them. To my delight this one spent several minutes eating what I am pretty sure were aphids just a few feet from me. It’s amazing to me that those tiny bugs are enough to be worth the bird’s while. I guess that worked to my advantage, this warbler must have eaten a hundred or so of them while I watched. Had they been bigger maybe I wouldn’t have had as much time with this beauty.
