This Belted Kingfisher was a nice way for us to wrap up our day on Wednesday. It was extremely windy almost all day making photography, and just plain standing up, a bit challenging. Despite the less than favorable weather conditions, we had lots of neat birds and some decent photo opportunities. This kingfisher was a good reminder that persistence pays off.
