I was pretty excited to come across this Abert’s Towhee in Tucson earlier this month. They are fairly common in the area but usually give me a pretty good challenge when it comes to getting a good photo. I couldn’t believe our luck when this one came out on such an exposed perch. They are normally buried in the brush and are especially skilled at frustrating me 😊
