The Gila Woodpecker is a very common bird around the Tucson, AZ area and one that I really enjoyed photographing during our recent visit. This one was checking out a hole in a Saguaro Cactus. I have to say, I think any bird that nests in one of these awesome plants is pretty cool in my book.
