Just before heading to Arizona I had the opportunity to head to extreme east Texas to Pleasure Island to look for this Chestnut-collared Longspur. Thankfully it was easy to find and quite happy to go about its business as we watched, giving us some great photo opportunities. It’s nice when birds are this accommodating.
