Admittedly this Baird’s Sparrow isn’t all that showy but it was without a doubt the highlight of our recent Arizona trip for me. These little sparrows aren’t very easy to see as they like to run around on the ground, concealed by grass and this one and its partner did plenty of that as we searched for them. It was a huge thrill to see them briefly perch up giving us an all too brief view.
